It will take some time to get used to the new camera. It certainly more clearly reveals flaws in technique. In this case, DOF too shallow (or not shallow enough); a bit of shake (no tripod); and softness because (after 592 images) my eyes hurt from squinting into the viewfinder, so I used the autofocus without success. Could be the lens, too, of course. But it’s less expensive and much more fun to assume that it’s user error — because I can try to fix that without buying more glass.
On the other hand, Hatley Park is truly lovely. Though, alas, I didn’t see any X-Men.
